Good Day Dear Blom Posbus Friends
On October 1st, twelve months ago, I packed the last few things out of our home, not knowing what the future would hold for us. In the chaos of moving, storing furniture, and uncertainty, we held on tightly to our faith.
We were supported and made to feel at home by wonderful friends. Slowly but surely, we picked up the pieces of our broken dreams, and today we can say with deep gratitude that the lovely people of Ficksburg have encouraged us, carried us, and made us feel at home. Thank you so much to each and every one of you. Thank you for letting us call you friends.
October is the most beautiful month! With two weddings and two big sports events at Ficksburg High School, our weekends for workshops are a bit limited.
However, our Soul Food art class will take place on October 3rd and October 24th. In November, we plan to offer workshops full steam ahead again. On the menu: a door Christmas wreath and Christmas cards—the perfect start to a warm, handmade festive season.
Floral greetings,

Dear Blom Posbus Friends
August is always a drab month. The grass is not green yet and the trees are bare, with blossoms here and there. At Blom Posbus, it was also such a drab month.
I went to visit Anton in Makoppa where a solar farm is being built. The excitement of a project like that transforming from paper into a workable project is amazing!
Although we can never sit still either. There are many new plans in the pipeline, including a Petite Rough chalk paint workshop!
So keep your Wednesdays, Friday afternoons, and Saturdays open! Also come kick off the holiday with a flower workshop.
Blom Posbus greetings,
Deidre and Corlize

Beloved Blom Posbus Friends
August is already almost halfway through, and you are probably waiting excitedly for the Newsletter. Well, the Postmaster was very busy!
As promised, boxes full of supplies arrived. A large variety of mosaic tiles, beautiful decoupage, gift wrap, and a few books with card stock for cards, scrapbooking, or whatever your creativity leads you to! A whole lot of stencils, stencil brushes, and fabric paint!
We are hosting another Soul Food art class next Saturday! Feel free to book and come find your balance!
In September, along with Spring, we are going to have evening classes again, but until then, stay cozy and warm!
Enjoy this Women's Day weekend and treat yourself to a delicious cup of coffee and good company!
Stay well until September!
Floral greetings,
Deidre and Corlize

Beloved Blom Posbus Friends
Since moving here to Ficksburg just under two months ago, I’ve been welcomed every day with so much gratitude, kindness, and hospitality that each day is simply a joy.
I am incredibly grateful that winter met me gradually, and that I didn't have to face sub-zero temperatures right from the start. You know, in more than five decades of winters, I’ve never touched real snow. That’s why I’m childlike with excitement to wear my grandmother’s red coat more often, and to bring out her leather gloves—which haven’t been used in years—from the closet.
We started May with Mother’s Day and were able to surprise a few moms with beautiful flowers. Other bouquets found their way to churches and homes, and I was even able to comfort a few grieving families with a bouquet.
We had a wonderful time doing flower pounding and decoupage while enjoying warm soup. After that, we made Father’s Day gifts, where the little ones stamped their handprints for dad—a precious memory for the future.
On Fridays, we enjoy spending time together, finishing up crafts and artwork that have been hiding in the cupboard for a while.
My friend packed a lot of supplies for me—mosaic, chalk paint, and more. As soon as they arrive, I’ll let you know.
We are planning a few projects for July that promise to warm your hearts.
Stay warm, stay healthy.
Floral greetings,
Deidre and Corlize
